The phenomenon beyond Internet of Things is “make things talk”. Gartner have estimation that the number of internet-connected devices will be around 50 billion by 2020. Users, cloud computing device and services will inter-connect using the Internet to enable new use-cases and business models across markets and applications. Absolutely, the inter-connected “Things” need Architectural IoT suite which can define a framework for the inter-connected devices network and their functions ,configuration , operational principles and procedures, as well as data formats used in network operation .Thus we need to establish a IoT architectural suite which categorize , calibrate, control and have collection of the Internet-connected devices. Not only limited to this , we need categorization suite for several types of other communications models as well such as devices connectivity to Application Server, devices to Human or devices to devices communication .
We believe, Architectures should be open based and standardized, it should not pressurize users towards static solutions, and it should be flexible to facilitate solutions where users can select combination of various applications, services and devices. In this regard, different architectural model is under development, such as ITU-T, NIST, M2M model or the currently most important to mention is the Architectural Reference Model from the EU IoT-A project.
We need suite for IoT in order to manage the complexity originated from the propagation of networks in ubiquitous computing such as WAN, PAN, BAN, Ad Hoc Objects Networks, etc., based on interconnection and security levels.
